On January 1, 2022, Tricare started a new TRICARE Childbirth and Breastfeeding Support Demonstration that is supposed to last 5 years and is providing coverage for doula and lactation services by qualified providers.
As listed on the Tricare website, I am a non-network provider for TRICARE and hold all the requirements to be covered under the demonstration.
“A non–network provider is a civilian provider who is authorized to provide care to TRICARE beneficiaries, but has not signed a network agreement.”
I will provide you with an itemized bill after your baby has been born and my support has concluded. This means you will pay me upfront and then submit your bill to Tricare for reimbursement. At this time Tricare coverage will provide reimbursement for up to $1,015.35 USD while your family is stationed here in Hawaii.
To ensure reimbursement you must submit your claim within 1 year of birth.
